    If you were laid off from the oil and gas industry, you might qualify for grant money to cover the cost of enrolling in training or certification classes. This opportunity to acquire a new skill or trade can expand your hiring prospects.

    Louisiana workforce commission

     

    If you were recently laid off, you should visit your local Louisiana Workforce Commission office and register with them. The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s team will assist you.

     

    Adding training or certification can improve your hiring prospects. The HiRE (Helping Individuals Reach Employment) program can connect you with those opportunities. HiRE also offers tutorials for job seekers. Explore the program’s web page for all the options.
